Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 25, 2026
QuickLog is designed with a "privacy by default" philosophy. We believe your thoughts should remain yours and yours alone.
1. No Data Collection
QuickLog does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-up processes, and no profiles.
2. Local Storage Only
Everything you type in QuickLog is stored locally on your Mac in a plain Markdown file. You choose where this file lives. QuickLog does not have access to any other files on your system except for the one you explicitly select as your journal.
3. No Servers or Cloud
QuickLog does not have a backend or any servers. We do not use any cloud services to store your data. If you choose to store your journal file in a cloud-synced folder (like iCloud, Dropbox, or Obsidian), your data is handled according to the privacy policy of those third-party providers.
4. No Analytics or Tracking
QuickLog does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry. We don't know how many people use the app, how often they use it, or what features they prefer. We value your focus and your privacy more than our metrics.
5. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, feel free to contact us through our official channels or GitHub repository.
